Valentine’s Day *Books With Love* Blog Hop Giveaway!!

Hello there!! Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love. Well, one thing I love is books. And even more than that… I love good books… and even more than THAT… I love FREE GOOD BOOKS!! So when I saw that the lovely ladies at Good Choice Reading were teaming up with Once Upon A Twilight to host a Valentine’s Day Blog Hop / Giveaway, how could I NOT be a part of it?

For my part, I struggled with what prize I should give away. Then, the day came, the sky opened and the heavens sang “Jennifer… this shall be your offering.” Sarah Addison Allen’s third book The Girl Who Chased The Moon was just released in trade paperback with all kinds of goodies at the end, including a sneak peek at her March new release, The Peach Keeper.

Trust me, you WANT this book. I can’t even find the words to adequately describe how much I love Sarah Addison Allen’s books. They’re lyrical, and magical, and they wrap you up and take you along into the story. What’s more, they are all filled with love. Familial love, romantic love, desperate love, comfortable love, honest love, confused love, misplaced love, lost love, and found love. I love her books.

There are 74 blogs participating as of the time I’m typing this. SEVENTY FOUR!! That’s a ton of cool places to visit, and enough chances to win free stuff to keep people smiling for a very long time. My fellow bloggers are giving away books, gift cards, and all kinds of cool swag. Click the graphic below to go to Good Choice Reading’s blog to see the other participants. Check them all out… enter everywhere!

So… for a chance to win the newly released trade paperback of Sarah Addison Allen’s The Girl Who Chased The Moon from me, comment below with something you love that YOU’VE had to chase. A cat, a kid, your new figure, a boyfriend, a job, a bird. Anything. Also include your first name and an email address for notification if you win. The giveaway for all the blogs goes from today (the 14th) until the 16th. Sometime early on the 17th, I’ll choose a random winner and send out an email. Remember to click the graphic after you enter here to see the rest of the blogs participating. Good luck everyone!! And Happy Valentine’s Day.

HA! Funny Question! I had to chase the boyfriend who would become my husband. He was too slow to get the hint that I was interested. Men!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

Most common thing to have to chase: my rabbits. I love them to bits but they know exactly when I’m going to put them back in their hutches and love running away from me. Rest of the time, they’re hoping around my feet. *rolls eyes*

  6. Comment by Kate Hensel:

LOL great question, I have to chase my son on a daily basis… hes crazy!!!

  9. Comment by Kirsten:

My cat, on more than one occasion. 🙂 He liked to jump out of the upstairs window if I left it open. And than he would run through the streets. Scary with all those cars and dogs around. Luckily I could catch up with him. As I quickly noticed him gone and he wasn’t as fast as he used to be when a kitten. But how (pleasantly-) surprising it was that he never broke any bones taken his large jumps. Maybe he could fly a little?
    Happy Valentine’s day!

A 3 year old and his puppy who like to escape evey chance they get. Happy Valentines and I am following on GFC as Glenda Cates

  18. Comment by Gina:

Hmm…something I’ve had to chase….that’s have to be my Mom’s dog, Hamilton….and that would be EVERY morning. Seriuosly, it’s only in the back yard, but he gets all fired up at the neighbor’s dog for some reason or another and simply will not come in unless you go out and get him. Now that I think about it perhaps it’s more of a ploy to get some additional playtime…hmmm….*ponders*

Thanks for the chance! I’ve heard great things about this title…would love the chance to check it out. Happy Valentine’s Day…and happy reading!

  23. Comment by Jackie:

My friend’s dog got loose and ran over to the golf course that was behind my friends house. I thought it would be a good idea to help out. I eventually caught the dog, and I hooked her up to a leash. But then, the dog took off running back to the house and dragged me along with her. I fell down, and the dog dragged me all the way up the green to her home! =[

  24. Comment by Chloe:

When I was little I had one of these squishy toys with rubber ducks (mini) inside of it. If you dropped it it could kind of move on it’s own. Well walking home from school one day I dropped it and had to chase it until it eventually fell down a sewer. I was really upset.

Thanks for the chance to win!

I have to chase my horse, Cowboy, everytime we have a riding lesson. He lets me get within arm reach, and then trots off just fast enough that I can’t catch him. Sometimes he runs around our biggest horse (kind of like monkey in the middle – I’m the monkey of course). Then after a few minutes, he stops and waits for me…I swear he’s laughing. We both enjoy the game!

  73. Comment by Ricki:

I love my dog, but she jumps fences, so I have had to chance her a lot.

  74. Comment by Dominique:

Something that I love that I’ve had to chase are one of my dogs, and one of my cats. They’ve managed to get loose on a couple of ocassions. So, I’ve chased them on foot, in a car, in heels, up a fence, under a cactus garden (stupid neighbors), and with offerings of cheese and/or bologna in an effort to catch them lol.

I made all the moves and he wasn’t taking my hints and ended up making the first move. We dated for a year and it ended badly, so obviously me chasing him wasn’t a good idea 🙂
