Rec My Weekend #7 – NIGHT VISION
Rec My Weekend is a new weekend feature here. A way for me to share something I’ve discovered this week, or an old favorite. And a way for YOU to help me increase my already-taller-than-me “to be read” pile. Because, really, there is NO SUCH THING AS TOO MANY BOOKS!! Feel free to share your “Rec My Weekend” recs in the comments below!
If you’ll all imagine me bouncing up and down and squee-ing while typing this, you’ll be very close to accurate!! One of my very favorite people has released the next addition of one of my favorite book series!! NIGHT VISION, by Yasmine Galenorn, is the fourth of five books in her Indigo Court series.
In this new installment, to be blunt… all hell breaks loose!! This is NOT a book you can pick up without reading the previous books… PLEASE start at the beginning with NIGHT MYST. I love Cicely, Rhiannon, Grieve, and the rest of the crew in New Forest. They’re the kind of people I could imagine myself being friends with. Unfortunately, Yasmine keeps TORTURING them!! I love this series, I really do, but I have to admit I’m really looking forward to the last book next year, so maybe these poor, amazing characters can get some relief.
*FYI* This series has probably THE most creepy villain in just about any series I’ve ever read. Seriously… gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about him. Ugh!!
*Warning* The blurb below DOES have spoilers… if you have NOT read the first three books in the Indigo Court series… please CLICK HERE instead to visit Yasmine Galenorn’s Indigo Court page on her website.
Eons ago, vampires tried to turn the dark Fae in order to harness their magic, only to create a demonic enemy more powerful than they could have imagined. Now, even with Myst, the Queen of the Indigo Court, temporarily out of action, the new Queens of the Golden Wood finds themselves facing incredible danger…
Destined to become the Fae Queens of Winter and Summer, Wind Witch Cicely and her cousin Rhiannon are eager to assume their roles and marry the loves of their lives. But while Myst hides in the shadows, seeking to regroup her forces, a closer danger is lurking. Renegade vampires Geoffrey and Leo manage to free the Blood Oracle and set him upon New Forest, Washington. Not satisfied with wreaking havoc on the town, Leo ups the ante by kidnapping Rhiannon. Now, Cicely must lead her forces in a bloody battle to save her cousin before everything they’ve worked for crumbles to dust.
So… have any of YOU read this series?? Have you gotten NIGHT VISION yet?? If you haven’t… are you adding it to your TBR list??
