Cover Reveal & Coastal Magic Convention Contest with Gini Koch

Hello, my lovelies!! Today is a very exciting day!! We’ve got an awesome, brand new book cover to share… AND… a really fantastic contest for all of you.

Fans of Gini Koch’s Alien (“Kitty” Katt) Series are eagerly awaiting the December 3rd release of book 8, ALIEN RESEARCH. But before we get the book, we get the book COVER!! Here’s a quick review of the first 7 covers in the series…

and now… :::drumroll::: … ALIEN RESEARCH…

Kitty’s looking pretty fierce, huh?? I really love the new cover.

Now… some of you who follow my blog may know, I’m the organizer Coastal Magic Convention… the urban fantasy / paranormal romance weekend event held in Daytona Beach, FL. Gini will be one of our Featured Authors next year, and we’ve got a FANTASTIC contest starting today.

DINNER WITH GINI AT COASTAL MAGIC… ON US!! That’s right, Gini will pick the place, and Books Make Me Happy will be picking up your bill. (All winners must be registered to attend Coastal Magic no later than December 31, 2013. Please check out the convention website for registration information and a listing of additional Featured Authors.)

There will be three questions, one each day, related to Gini’s Words & Music Monday post. (You don’t HAVE to read that post to answer the questions, but we’d love it if you did. There is some interesting insight into the musical influences of the Alien Series.) To enter, simply answer the question in the comment section, along with your name and email address. I will close the comments at the end of each day at midnight pacific time. Winner will be posted and notified, and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen. Contest will run Oct 1-3, 2013, and will include three separate posts. Commenters may enter on multiple days, but may only win once.

So… Dinner with Gini Koch at Coastal Magic – Question for Day 1 is…

I have far too many favorite Aerosmith songs to list here, but I have to say that “Love in an Elevator” has to rank right up there. As does “Elevator” from Flo Rida. (Sensing the trend?)

What’s your favorite song by Aerosmith, Smash Mouth, Flo Rida, Pitbull, B.o.B., Fall Out Boy, or Mötley Crüe? And if, somehow, you don’t like one of those bands, what’s your favorite song by your favorite band?

I’m excited to “hear” everyone’s answers… GOOD LUCK!!! I can’t wait to see you in Daytona!!

  1. Comment by Stephanie Takes-Desbiens:

I am not a huge music person. I think I did not get the gene. I really like Flightless Bird by Iron and Wine and We are the Champions by Queen. Steph Takes-Desbiens Steph at fangswandsandfairydust dot com

  2. Comment by JoAnna B:

I’ve always loved the song from Armegeddon, I thinks it’s called Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing. I always picture Ben Affleck playing with animal crackers.

  5. Comment by Trina.ADR:

OMG too much to choose from. I love Flo Rida! Can’t Handle Me, and Wild Ones are my FAV! Plus I LOVE Fall Out Boy: My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark. As far as Aerosmith I love a lot of their stuff but F.I.N.E. is my top fav. Currently I’m totally crushing on JT’s Mirrors and Zedd’s Clarity. Songs are powerful! 🙂

  6. Comment by Lynn Crain:

I have lots but the first one that comes to mind is ‘Don’t Want to Miss A Thing’ or as we all know it, the love theme from the movie Armageddon. And you guessed it, I’m revising love scenes so that’s what I’m listening to…lots of love songs…LOL!

Great cover, Gini! Can’t wait for us to get together soon…wait…why don’t you visit me here in Vienna? I’m sure we’d have a blast. LOL!

  7. Comment by jovialvampyre:

Aerosmith’s Dream On will always rank right up there for me. I remember it being one of my favorites when it came out (oops I shouldn’t mention that cause it tells you I’m OLD).

  8. Comment by Beth:

I’d have to say that ‘Pink’ by Aerosmith is my favorite! So a “new obsession” to think about all the pink things…LOL

  9. Comment by pamk258:

I too love I don’t want to miss a thing and Sweet Emotion and me and boys love Walk this way and most of their other songs.

  10. Comment by Jennifer:

Day one of the contest has ended… and our winner is…

Congratulations, Beth, your notification email will be arriving shortly!!

Thanks to everyone who entered. Don’t forget, you can all enter again in days two and three for your chance to join Gini and Beth for dinner at Coastal Magic!

Whoo-eee! That is gorgeous! Dos Santos does it again!

  12. Comment by Angela:

By Flo Rida, I really like Good Feeling (I think that’s what it’s called. The one with Etta James).

I also just discovered these songs by Avicii called Lay Me Down and Hey Brother

  13. Comment by miabama:

umm Dream On by Aerosmith, Dr Feelgood or Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue
