Cover Reveal: Vulnerable by Amy Lane
Some of you may be wondering how this can be a “cover reveal”, since this is a book that I’ve practically sung songs about and have repeatedly suggested to (read: forced upon) my friends and loved ones. Some of you may also be wondering what happened to that hiatus we talked about (until Coastal Magic was over). Well… something lovely and wonderful has happened, so I’m taking a tiny break from my tiny break (o.0??) to share the news.
VULNERABLE has gotten a little bit of T.L.C. from author Amy Lane and the fine folks at Dreamspinner Press, and a pretty new cover to boot!! Check this out!!!
I can’t even TELL you (although I’m really gonna try) how excited I am about this!! For those of you who have read the story in it’s first incarnation… DO YOU SEE THE WREATH!!??? Isn’t it GORGEOUS!!!! *flails*
For those who haven’t… here’s a little blurb to let you know what you can look forward to…
Working graveyards in a gas station seems a small price for Cory to pay to get her degree and get the hell out of her tiny town. She’s terrified of disappearing into the aimless masses of the lost and the young who haunt her neck of the woods. Until the night she actually stops looking at her books and looks up. What awaits her is a world she has only read about—one filled with fantastical creatures that she’s sure she could never be.
And then Adrian walks in, bearing a wealth of pain, an agonizing secret, and a hundred and fifty years with a lover he’s afraid she won’t understand. In one breathless kiss, her entire understanding of her own worth and destiny is turned completely upside down. When her newfound world explodes into violence and Adrian’s lover—and prince—walks into the picture, she’s forced to explore feelings and abilities she’s never dreamed of. The first thing she discovers is that love doesn’t fit into nice neat little boxes. The second thing is that risking your life is nothing compared to facing who you really are—and who you’ll kill to protect.
Amy Lane has built a world I’d love to live in, full of characters I’d love to be friends with. I’ve been through heartbreak, joy, fear, pride, uncertainty, growth, and love with these characters. I feel like they’re a part of me now. It sounds so cheeseball to say that, but honestly, I would move there tomorrow if it were a place with an actual zip code. And thanks to Cory, Adrian, Green, and the rest of the crew, I’ve gotten to be friends with Amy and have gone through some of those same things with her. And I DO keep trying to get her to move closer to me, lol!! For a nice post about this new development (and book 5, finally!!!!), check out Amy’s blog. I’m so, so, so very thankful that she’s sharing Green’s Hill with us all again… a little shinier, maybe, but still home.
If you’re ready to take the plunge (for the first time, or the first time in a while), you can pre-order the GORGEOUS re-release of VULNERABLE directly from the DSP Publications website right now. It’ll be up at other etailers on release day, March 3rd.
Now… you all go pre-order and start your countdown to release day. I’ve got more convention prep to do. I’ll be getting back to a regular posting schedule after the 10th of February. We’ll have SO MUCH to catch up on!!
Happy reading, everyone!
