2nd Annual Coastal Magic Convention Halloween Flash Fiction Blog Event Kickoff!!

It’s here, it’s here!! Another year of quick flash fictions with a Halloween theme from some of the Coastal Magic Convention Featured Authors!! We had a LOT of fun with this idea last year, and I’m so happy to bring it back this year.

If you missed our first go round… here’s what to expect this week:

  1. Each of our participating authors was able to choose from a collection of images from DeviantArt.com artists. Permission has been given by the owners for images to be used, with credit, on non-commercial websites. That permission also requires a link back to the page it was used on, which I will do after each post.
  2. Each flash fiction is 500-1000(ish) words, and was written specifically for this event. Some are original stories, not connected to any other series. Some are extensions or outtakes from existing books or series. All are related to/inspired by the image the author chose from the collection I sent them.
  3. There will be two stories posted each day, from today (Oct 25th) through Halloween on Saturday. Many of the posts will have giveaways, provided by the author.

So… that’s the general idea for the week. I can’t wait for all of you to read the awesome flash fictions that our authors have written for you. Some are a bit creepy, some are fun & festive, some are romantic, some are downright scary. I’m looking forward to hearing which ones are your favorites!!

Here’s the posting schedule for this week — be sure to check in each day to read the new stories and enter to win the giveaways. I’ll update this post with new links as the week goes on. You can also follow or subscribe to this blog to make sure you don’t miss any of the posts!

Just reat S.E. Smiths story. It was great! I love her work and look forward to reading more from her. She has become one of my favorite authors this last year.

  4. Comment by Christina Knisley:

I just read S.E. Smiths version of Beauty and the Beast and it was so wonderful. That has always been my favorite tale but she put a very creative spin on the story. She has the most amazing imagination.

Thank you! You have definitely made my Halloween! xoxox

had fun going to them all thank you

  7. Comment by Helen Dickenson:

I loved the modern/fantasy theme of S E Smith. It is easy and enjoyable to read with some humour to lighten it up. She has quickly become one of my favourite authors since I discovered her other series
